Janice Pearl Moore, 83, Lena, IL fell asleep in death Friday evening March 31, 2017 at her long time country home in her daughter's loving arms. Born in Freeport IL on June 25, 1933 to Merrill and Pearl Huber. She graduated from Lena High School then attended Grinnell College in Iowa and Rockford Business College and worked at Corn Belt Insurance until marriage and children. She married Ernest "Bud" Moore on October 10, 1959 in Eleroy. Anyone who knew Jan, knew her to be a "people person" who loved to visit and share her beliefs as a long time and dedicated member of the Freeport Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
She is survived by three children, Jennilyn Holland, Rockford, Bradley Moore, Lena, and Joellyn (Douglas)Hughes, Freeport. Granddaughter Cortney Hubbard, Freeport, and three great-grandchildren; Patrick, Lily and Karrigan.
The family would like to extend their appreciation to Jan's many special friends and caregivers, especially Yvonne, Anita, and Lisa.
Jan would ask that you not worry about her as she had full faith and confidence in Jehovah God's promise of a future resurrection where she will be full of vitality, ready to talk, and tease us all again. (John 5:28,29)
There will be a Memorial Service at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 1000 Longhorn Court, Freeport, IL the 15th of April, 2017. Visitation with the family will be at 1:00 PM with the service following at 2:30 PM.
A memorial has been established in her name.
