Janice K. Janicke 71 of Lena Passed away on Sunday June 24, 2018 at FHN Hospital in Freeport, IL. Janice was born on June 10, 1947 in Monroe, WI, to Leonard and Dorothy (Jordan) Albright. Janice attended Orangeville High School in Orangeville, IL, and she then started working at The Coffee House as a cook for Randy Rabe. Janice married Harold Janicke in March 1965. She then continued her cooking career and, working at Marty's Tap, Legend's, and Mulligan's in Lena for 34 years. Janice last worked as a cook at Lena-Winslow High School. She loved to play Bingo, Euchre, and was a past member of Ladies' Billiards and Bowling teams. One other past job she loved to do was to work the park district concession stands with Paul Leamon.

Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Harold Janicke, daughter Karen, and grandson Doug Janicke all of Lena, IL, one brother Wayne (Mary) Albright of Orangeville, IL, two sisters Carol Wenger of Lena, IL, Sherri (Dennis) Ackerson of Winslow, IL, three sister in-laws Sharon Kuhlemeier of Freeport, IL, Bonnie (Jim) Gorham also of Freeport, IL, Peggy (Jim) Quinn of Lena, IL, one brother in-law Dennis (Sara) Janicke of Kent, IL.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two nephews, two brother in-laws, and her step father Nelson Merchant.

Her visitation will be held at the Leamon Funeral Home in Lena on Saturday, June 30 from 10 AM until noon.

Funeral services will be on Saturday, June 30, 2018 at 12:00 noon at the Leamon Funeral Home in Lena, IL.

Pastor Randy Nicholas will conduct the services.

Cremation Rites were accorded and burial will be held at a later date.
