Janice K. Confer, age 76, passed away on Thursday October 23, 2014 at the Freeport Rehab and Health Care Center. She was born April 30, 1938 in Freeport, Illinois, the daughter of Carlyle and Lois (Rahorn) Confer. Janice attended Lena public schools and made her home at Ridge Terrace in Freeport for the past 25 years. She was employed by Freeport Sheltered Workshop and later at Malcom Eaton Workshop. Janice was a 50 year member of the Isabel Chapter of the Eastern Star in Lena and a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Freeport.

She is survived by brother Jack (Marilyn) Confer of Lakeville, MN; nieces and nephews- Connie (Patrick) Carrigen of Roscoe, IL, Randall (Roberta) Lobdell of Lena, IL, Mark (Marsha) Lobdell of Lena, Susan (Jerry) Ingersoll of Savanna, IL, Scott (Ruth) Confer of Winslow, IL, Troy (Karen) Confer of Lena, Il and Cara (Jeff) Auge of Lakeville, MN.

Janice was preceded in death by her parents and sister Donna Lobdell and brother-in-law Vernon Lobdell.

Visitation will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday October 25, 2014 until the time of service at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Freeport, IL.

Funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday October 25, 2014 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Freeport.

A luncheon will follow the funeral service at Immanuel Lutheran Church.

Officiating will be Rev. Willis Schwichtenberg.

A memorial has been established for Malcolm Eaton Enterprises.

Interment will take place at the Lena Burial Park.
