Jamie L. Wilson, age 55, of Orangeville passed on to the next life on Saturday, April 4th after an accident sustained while on a trip in Kentucky.

Jamie was born August 18th, 1970, in Freeport, IL to   Jack and Willamette (Wybourn) Wilson of Lena, Il.  Jamie graduated from Le-Win High School with the class of 1988.

As a child, Jamie enjoyed playing sports, driving anything with a motor, and getting up to all sorts of mischief with his brother and cousins. These hobbies continued into adulthood. Jamie got into racing lawn mowers with the River Rat Racers and built several racing mowers throughout the years.

In his early career, Jamie drove semi for a few local businesses. He worked at Landmark Agronomy for over 20 years operating large machines in the fields before returning to driving truck for Manito Transit.

Jamie welcomed fatherhood with his first child, Kayla. It was a new adventure for Jamie and he eventually welcomed another daughter, Kalli, and finally a son, Ian. He married his wife Heather in 2012, though they had been together more than a decade before that. His wife and children fondly remember the many adventures they took as a family on summer vacations. He ensured his kids developed a healthy sense of skepticism through the many tall tales he would tell them, including the monster in the garage attic, the mysterious man-bear-pig in the forest, or even telling them he was going to take them underwater basket weaving, which was actually just bowling, much to his children's relief.

Jamie was a simple man who enjoyed motorcycle rides, a peaceful night by a fire, and a good brandy old fashioned. He liked a nice lawn, a cold beer, and the Green Bay Packers. He loved golfing and spending time with his brother, cousins, uncles, and son on their annual "Drunk Uncles" weekend. He also loved spending time in his garage with his little buddy, Ruger the dog. He will be remembered for his dry humor, contagious belly laugh, and exquisite sarcasm. He will live on through his final selfless act of being an organ donor. Jamie's somehow perfect organs have already saved more than 3 lives, a fact that comforts his wife and children.

Jamie is survived by his wife Heather of Orangeville, two daughters Kayla Wilson of Mount Carroll, Kalli (Jessie) Van Loo of Mount Carroll, one son, Ian Wilson of Monroe, WI and his brother Jayson Wilson. Jamie is also survived by his maternal aunts and uncle, one paternal uncle, many brothers and sisters-in-law, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Jamie is preceded in death by his mother, father, grandparents and two uncles.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Lena, IL.

A memorial Service to follow beginning at 1:00 p.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church.

Interment will take place at the Lena Burial Park.

Luncheon to follow at St. John's Lutheran Church.
