James M. Leamy, age 84 of Franklin, WI, passed away on Friday, October 9, 2026, in Milwaukee, WI. He was born on November 26, 1941, in Chicago, IL, the son of James Newton and Mary Margaret (Byrne) Leamy. James married Johanna Joyce Staponaitis on May 23, 1964. He worked as a building maintenance engineer for the phone company (Originally Illinois Bell) in a high rise building in Chicago, IL. James was a member of the Illinois Railway Museum, East Troy Railway Museum, and Friends of the Pecatonica River Foundation.

He is survived by his sons- James Alan Leamy and Jeffrey Charles Leamy; daughter Jean Marie Schloskey; six grandchildren; and one great grandchild.

James was preceded in death by his wife and both parents.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 24, 2026, in the hall at St. Joseph Catholic Church at 410 West Lena Street in Lena, IL.
