Isabelle I. Renter, 98, formerly of Lena, passed away Thursday February 19, 2015 at the Monroe Clinic Hospital. She was born February 29, 1916 in Stephenson County to Clayton and Elizabeth (Fox) Howe. Isabelle graduated from Lena High School in 1934. She married Henry Renter on September 28, 1934 in Lena. Isabelle worked as a secretary at Kolb Lena Cheese Factory until retiring in 1972. She enjoyed quilting, crocheting, reading, and baking.

Surviving is her daughter Elsie (Thomas) McIntyre of Freeport; daughter-in-law Melanie Renter of Lena; grandchildren - Jeff (Hui) McIntyre, Carla (Kevin) Patton, Kristine (Craig) Toelke, Chelsea (Barry) Greenfield, Kimberly Renter, Aaron (Julia) Renter and Elizabeth Renter; 9 great-grandchildren- Lexi, Laurie, Michael, Connor, Zoe, Caden, Chase, Chloe, and Ysabelle.

Isabelle was preceded in death by her husband Henry, son Michael, grandson John McIntyre, parents, and her half-brother Dwain West.

Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday February 24, 2015 at the Leamon Funeral Home in Lena.

Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. till time of service.

Officiating will be Rev. Rick Bader.

Interment will take place at the Lena Burial Park.

A memorial has been established in her name.
