Irene I. Talbert age 86, unexpectedly passed away at her home on Saturday August 26, 2017. She was born in rural McConnell, IL to Clarence and Ida (Hardel) Price on July 5, 1931. She graduated from Lena High School. She married Richard Talbert on April 11, 1953 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Lena. She worked at Kolb-Lena Cheese. Irene was a member of Home Extension. She enjoyed baking, decorating cookies and cakes especially around Christmas, traveling, gardening, flowers and spending time with friends and family. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and took part in the Bible study group and helping with funeral luncheons.

She is survived by three children; Marcia (Bryan) Niemeier of Annawan, IL, Dennis Talbert and Larry Talbert both of Lena, IL. Four grandchildren; Erik Niemeier of Dodgeville, WI, Chris (Tara) Niemeier of Andover, IL, Trent (Brandi) Niemeier of Dousman, WI and Jeremy Niemeier of Tomah, WI. Seven great grandchildren; Emma, Jenna, Ian, McKenna, Macie, Clark and Elliott. One brother; Verl Price of McConnell, IL.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Richard in 1993, son Ronald in 1980 and a great grandson Gauge in 2010.

Private family funeral services will be held at St. John's Lutheran Church.

A memorial has been established in her name.
