Iola "Ole" Hudson, 93 formerly of Lena, passed away on July 9, 2026 at Mercy Health FHN in Freeport.  Iola was born on July 28, 1932, in McConnell, IL to Myron and Neva (Kyler) Rackow.

Iola was a 1950 graduate of Lena High School.  She married Kenneth Hudson on June 29, 1950 and together they raised four children.  Iola retired from Micro Switch in 1993 after more than 25 years of service.

She enjoyed traveling and playing cards, especially Euchre and Canasta.  She also enjoyed wintering in New Braunfels, TX.  She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and served on the Altar Guild.

Iola is survived by her children: Connie Denison of Monroe, WI, Ellen (John) Wilwert of Carrollton, TX, Allen (Karen) Hudson of Monroe, WI and Peggy (Jim) Deitering of Plymouth, MN; ten grandchildren, ten great grandchildren with one on the way.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Kenneth, one brother, one sister and one son-in-law Jon Denison.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 14, 2026 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Lena.

Visitation will take place at St. John's Lutheran Church on Tuesday, July 14, 2026 from 9:30 until the time of service.

Rev. Rick Bader will officiate.

Interment will be held at the Lena Burial Park

A memorial to Winn Prairie has been established in her memory.
