Hulone D. Scheider age 84 of Freeport, IL passed away on December 12, 2014 at the Freeport Rehab and Health Care Center in Freeport. She was born May 16, 1930 in Gibson City, IL, the daughter of Theodore L. and Laura (Neihoff) Hammer.

She married Delbert on June 7, 1953 in Anchor, IL. Hulone began her teaching career in Springfield, IL. She then taught Kindergarten and fifth grade in Cedarville, IL until coming to Lena where she taught for 25 years. She was a member of the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church since 1954. She belonged to many organizations including the Lutheran Church Women, the Cedarville Historical Society, the Retired Teachers Association, the Stephenson County Home Extension, the Lena Women's Club, Delta Kappa Gamma, and the Piece Corp Quilters Club.

Hulone is survived by her husband Delbert of Freeport; a son Tom (Mary) Scheider of Freeport; a daughter Joyce (Jon) Scholl of Cooksville, IL; four grandchildren- Jay (Jessica) Scholl of Peoria, IL, Jill (Ryan) Miller of Oregon, IL, John Scheider of Waterloo, IA, and Lindsey Scheider of Salt Flat, TX; a great-granddaughter Madelyn Miller; two brothers- Donald (Darlene) Hammer of Anchor, IL and Wayne (Kay) Hammer of Fairbury, IL.
She was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at the Leamon Funeral Home in Lena, IL

Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. with a visitation from 9:00 until 10:00 on Thursday, December 18, 2014 at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Lena, IL.

Pastor Miranda Klosterboer will officiate.

Burial will be at the Cedarville Cemetery.

A luncheon will follow at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established for the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church and Highland Community College Foundation.
