Howard A. Stiefel, age 89, passed away Sunday, June 7, 2015 at the Waverly Place Home, in Stockton, IL. He was born August 17, 1925 in Lafayette County, WI to August and Eva (Haffele) Stiefel. He farmed for 25 years in the Stockton area and worked at Northwest Farm Equipment in Stockton. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and the Shriners.

Howard is survived by his wife Erma of Warren; four children- Sherry Cancelose (Gary Auman) of Freeport, IL, Tom (Paula) Stiefel of Rockford, IL, Steve Stiefel of Stockton and Lynette (Dick) Ellsworth of Melbourne, FL; grandchildren- Jon, Bill, Chris and Nichole Sperry, Christopher Stiefel, Brooke Haas, Brittany Robinson, Alesia Jacobsen, Aric Ellsworth and Allison Spidahl; step-granddaughter Michelle Glowacki and twenty eight great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his first wife and mother of his children Norma (Mammoser) Stiefel, his second wife Berniece (Jones) Stiefel and his parents.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, June 10, 2015 at the Warren United Methodist Church.

Visitation will be Tuesday, June 9, 2015 from 5:00 till 7:00 PM at the Bartell-Leamon Funeral Home in Warren, IL with a Masonic service to be held at 7:00 PM.

Burial will be at Ladies Union Cemetery in Stockton, IL.
Officiating will be Rev. Roger Bronkema.

A memorial has been established for the Shriners Hospital for Children.
