Warren – Harry Thiakos, 83, formally of Warren, IL passed away Thursday, February 5, 2015 at Midwest Palliative Hospice Center in Glenview, IL. Harry was born on September 1, 1931 to Kostandinos and Antonia (Chicklis) Thiakos in Greece. He served his country in the Greek Army. On November 7, 1970 Harry married Constance Stavropoulos in Chicago. He owned and operated Harry's Restaurant in Chicago until retiring in 2005.
He is survived by two stepchildren; Pierre (Karen) Voyles and Emily (George) Misenar and seven grandchildren; one sister-in-law living in Greece.
Preceded by his parents and wife Constance on May 6, 2003.
Graveside Services will be at 10:00 AM, on Tuesday, February 10,2015 at the Elmwood Cemetery in River Grove, IL.
The cemetery is located at 2905 North Thatcher Road, River Grove, Illinois.
Visitation hours are from 4-7 PM on Monday, February 9, 2015 at Bartell – Leamon Funeral Home 519 Tisdell Avenue Warren, IL.
Fr. Christos will officiate at the burial in River Grove, IL.
