Grover Joseph Appell Jr, 87, of Amboy, IL formerly of Warren, IL passed away on March 9, 2016 at KSB Hospital in Dixon, IL.
Grover was born on February 9, 1929 to Grover and Mayme Marie (Mau) Appell in Warren. He attended school at the Sweet Home School.
Grover worked at The Workshop in Galena, IL where he participated in the senior program. After moving to Amboy, Grover worked for Kreider Services.
Grover is survived by his niece Virginia Boelk of Freeport, IL; nephews Jerome Dorneden of Lena, IL and Roger Dorneden of Warren, IL.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Virgil Appell; three Sisters Lucille Sigafus, Vernile Henry, and Marion Dorneden.
Graveside services will be at 1:30 p.m. on March 12, 2016 at Elmwood Cemetery in Warren.
