Greta R. Fenn, 70, of Warren, IL went to be with her best friend Jesus on Monday, May 5 ,2025. She was born on November 19, 1954, in Hazel Green, WI to Joseph and Lorraine (Monahan) McGuire. Greta was employed at Carter Motor in Warren, IL for 14 years where she assembled electric motors. She then went on to work as a CNA for the Lena Living Center and then decided to go to work at the Swiss Colony in Monroe, WI until her retirement.
Greta was a devoted member of 40+ years at the St. Ann's Catholic Church in Warren, IL. She was proud to have been able to lead the rosery and open the church for services on Sundays. You could often find her attending the Life in the Spirit studies, which she looked forward to. She took pride in her church and was always very thankful for her church family. In Greta's free time she enjoyed thrifting, watching the cooking network and game shows. Her family and friends meant the world to her, and she was so proud to be a grandma.
She is survived by her 2 children- Kristine (Kyle Krueger) Fenn of Monroe, WI, and Matthew Fenn of Darlington, WI; grandson- Aiden Fenn; sister- Patty Lange of Platteville, WI; 4 nieces- Becky (Shawn) Fenn, Karen (Jeremy) Smith, Cheryl Lange, Rachel (Keith) Plesha; 1 nephew- Adam (Yessi) Lange; 4 great-nieces and 2 great nephews.
Greta was predeceased by her parents; 2 sisters- Jeanne McGuire and Linda McGuire, and brother-in-law Richard Lange.
A Rosary Service will begin at 10:30 am on Friday, May 9, 2025, at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Warren, Illinois. With a Visitation held from 11:00-12:00 pm
A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, May 9, 2025, at 12:00 pm immediately following the visitation.
Father Andrew Hernandez will officiate the service.
Cremation rites have been accorded.
A private family burial will be held at a later date.
A memorial has been established in her memory.
