Lena – Gladys L. Stadermann, 104 formerly of Eleroy, IL passed away peacefully on Saturday March 25, 2017 at the Lena Living Center. Gladys was born on January 31, 1913 in Waddams Grove, IL. She was the daughter of Charles Grant and Laura Amanda (Strunk) Armagost. She married Willard Stadermann on October 10, 1942. Gladys enjoyed playing cards, working puzzles, reading and sewing. She also enjoyed canning her vegetables from her garden. Gladys was employed by General Casualty for many years. She was a member of the Good Shepherd Lutheran church.

Surviving is her son: Thomas (Donna) Stadermann and two grandsons, Michael (Kristina) Stadermann and Stephen (Tammy) Stadermann and three great-grandchildren Connor, Brianna, and Isabelle. Also survived are many nieces and nephews.

Gladys was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Willard on February 3, 1993, three brothers, Walter, Earl, and George, four sisters Dorothy Armagost, Leone Rote, Kathryn Reynolds and Margaret Scholtz.

Services will be on Saturday April 1, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Leamon Funeral Home.

Visitation will be on Saturday from 9:00am until time of service.

Pastor Miho Yasukawa will officiate

Burial will follow at Oakland Cemetery in Freeport, IL.

A memorial has been established in her name for the American Family Children's Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin.
