Gerald "Jerry" Wachter, 85, of Lena, IL was called home to Heaven on August 17, 2020.  He was born on August 15, 1935 in JoDaviess County to Glen and Josephine (Dittmar) Wachter.  He married Sharon Moore and together they had two daughter, Joy (Dan) Schwartz, and Karlene (Dave) Heinkel.  After Sharon passed, he married Shirley Shadle.

Jerry farmed all his life and was an avid bowler.  He was very active in his church.

He is survived by his wife Shirley, both daughters and their families, two brothers and five sisters.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, August 20, 2020 at Lena Burial Park in Lena, IL.

Pastor Bob Patin will officiate the services.

Masks are required, and social distancing guidelines will be followed.  If you wish to bring your own chair for the services, that is encouraged.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in his name.
