Gerald F. Scott, age 72 of Warren, IL, passed away on Tuesday February 18, 2014 at Rockford Memorial Hospital.
He was born November 20, 1941 in Freeport, IL, the son of Frank and Ada (Smith) Scott. Gerald married Judy Bonjour on June 22, 1963 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Warren. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and a former member of the Warren Fire Department. Gerald enjoyed gardening, collecting trains, and loved John Deere Tractors.
He is survived by his wife Judy; 4 children- Robert (Pat) Scott of Warren, Terry (Steve) Mack of Reedsville, WI, Thomas Scott of Dickeyville, WI, and Ronald (Kelly) Scott of Cherry Valley, IL; a grand-daughter Emily Mack; 2 great-grandchildren- Alex and Atalissa Bloyd; a special pet Inky; and a special friend Jeff Miller.
Gerald was preceded in death by his parents.Visitation will be held from 2:00 – 7:30 p.m. on Friday February, 21, 2014 at the Bartell-Leamon Funeral Home in Warren.
Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday on February, 22, 2014 at the Bartell-Leamon Funeral Home.
Officiating will be Rev. Susan Davenport and Interim Pastor Barbara Otten.
A luncheon will follow the funeral service at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Warren.
A memorial has been established for the Warren Fire Department and St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
