Gary L. Diehl, 75, passed away June 15, 2019 in Fort Myers, FL. He was born May 31, 1944 in Freeport, IL to Floyd and Darlene (Lower) Diehl. Gary married Shirley A. Stone in June 1964 at the Lena United Methodist Church. He owned and operated Rockford Yamaha and Suzuki. He worked as a skilled trades pipefitter for Chrysler for 40 years. He was a member of the UAW 1268 and the ZR1 Corvette registry. After retirement he moved to Fort Myers, FL.

He is survived by his wife Shirley, Sons; Scott (Marjorie) Diehl of Rockford, IL and Eric (Shannon) Diehl of Roscoe, IL. 5 grandchildren; Keeley Capriola, Shane Carpenter, Joshua Diehl, Jacob Diehl and Jordan Diehl. 1 great grandchild; Ava Capriola. Sister; Nancy Goekes of Madison, WI and brother; Robert Diehl of Freeport, IL. Numerous Nieces and Nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter Kimberly Ann Carpenter.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday June 25, 2019 at 12:00 noon at the Leamon Funeral Home.

Visitation will on Tuesday from 10:00 till time of service.

Burial will take place at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens following the service.

Officiating will be Pastor Randy Nicholas.
