Florence M. Mahlkuch, 99, passed away on Wednesday May 30, 2018 at Presence St. Joseph Home in Freeport, IL. She was born on May 3, 1919 in Dubuque, IA to Frank and Regina (Kunkel) Lange. She married Charles "Kenneth" Mahlkuch in April 22, 1961. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Lena, and a past member of the Le-A-Nites Home Extension Unit. She worked as a bookkeeper/secretary at Pixler Electrics of Dubuque. Florence owned and operated a restaurant on 1 ^st Street in Dubuque, and Lange Floral. While living in Dubuque, she was part of a bowling team, and enjoyed flying with Howard Pixler who owned a private airplane.

She is survived by her step-daughter; Patsy Mahlkuch Hawkinson of Monroe, WI, 2 granddaughters; Carrie (Scott) Carlstrom of Caseyville, IL and Sheila (Steve) Loewe of Ridott, IL, 2 great granddaughters; Stephanie (Brian) Bramlett of Midlothian, IL and Samantha Loewe of Ridott, IL, 3 great-great granddaughters; LayCee, Lyliah and Leslie Bramlett, niece; Sandy (Carl) Hacke of Aurora, CO, 3 nephews; Ray (Philomena) Lange of Colorado Springs, CO, Roger Lange of Concord, CA, Terrance Lange of Yuma, AZ.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers; Frank, Urban, Andy, and Arnold, sisters; Veronica Tscharner, and Balbina Bush, and a nephew Gerald Lange.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 on Wednesday June 6, 2018 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Lena.

A visitation will be from 9:30 till time of service at the church.

Burial will be at Mt Calvary Cemetery in Dubuque, IA.

A memorial has been established in her name.
