Florence L. Busjahn, 104, of Lena, IL passed away Tuesday March 4, 2014 at the Lena Living Center. Florence was born on September 5, 1909 to Lewis and Annie (Koppein) Homan in Waddams Township, IL. She married William E. Busjahn, Jr. on February 24, 1934 in Cedarville, IL, and farmed alongside him for many years. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Lena, IL, the Stephenson County Home and Community Education Association and Lena Woman's Club. She enjoyed gardening, playing cards, quilting, and needle working. Florence looked forward to family gatherings such as Christmas, Mother's Day, and her birthday.

Florence is survived by her children; Donna Mikovich, Edward (Judy) Busjahn, Carol Teasdale, Arlene (Dean) Holmes, Ronald (Providence) Busjahn, and David (Suzanne) Busjahn; one sister, Verda Fryer; 16 grandchildren, thirty great grandchildren, and five great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband William, who passed away in 1976, four brothers, three sisters, and two sons-in-law.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 8th, 2014 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Lena, IL at 11:00 am.

A visitation will be held at St. John's Lutheran Church from 9:30 am, until the time of services.

Rev. Rick L. Bader will officiate the service.

Burial will be held at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Freeport, IL.
