Evelyn F. Wyssbrod's Obituary
Evelyn F. Wyssbrod, age 95, passed away on Monday June 2, 2014 at the New Glarus Home in New Glarus, WI. She was born on March 20, 1919 in Winslow Township to August and Ella (Rackow) Miller.She married Ernest Wyssbrod on March 21, 1938 at the Evangelical Lutheran Parsonage in Dubuque, IA.
She was a member of the Winslow American Legion Auxiliary and a former member of Grace Lutheran Church in Monroe. She loved singing, gardening, bird watching and her bowling league.
Evelyn is survived by one sister Helen Hicks of Winslow, one brother Frederick (Donna) Miller of South Wayne, WI, sisters in law; Dorothy Miller of Freeport, Marion Miller of Warren, Pat Miller of Winslow, and Rose Wyssbrod of Martintown, WI.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband in 1970, daughter in infancy, brothers and sisters; Marguerite and Clarence Bourgo, Elgin Hicks, Gladys and Willard Benninger, Harold Miller, Leon Miller, Elston Miller, Roger and Pauline Miller, Richard Miller, John Wyssbrod, Hilda and Glenn Uecker and Max and Freida Wyssbrod.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, June 6, 2014 at the Rock Lily Cemetery in Winslow, IL.
Officiating will be Ernest Stabenow.
A memorial has been established in her name.
