Obituary

Freeport- Evelyn H. Huett, 84, passed away January 20, 2015 at Presence St. Joseph's Center in Freeport, IL, where she resided for the last 14 ½ years. She was born in Lena, IL on November 23, 1930 to Clarence and Carrie (Kluck) Schulz. She was a graduate of Lena High School. Evelyn married Earl "Buck" Huett on October 31, 1960 in Dubuque, IA. Together they owned and operated the Lena Bakery for many years. Prior to operating the bakery, Evelyn worked in home health care and did factory work. She also worked as a clerk for Sears at the Lincoln Mall in Freeport. She was a very caring and giving person and loved spending time with her grandchildren. Evelyn enjoyed reading, playing cards, Bingo, listening to music and she played the harmonica. She was a member of the Lena American Legion Auxiliary for over 50 years and she attended McConnell United Methodist Church.

Evelyn is survived by her children: Darrell Busch of Apple Canyon Lake, Ron Busch of Texas, Dave Busch of Lena,IL, Simone Winter of Elizabeth, IL, Susan Marassa and Melodie (Tony) Smith of Freeport, IL.; sister, Naomi Russ of Lena, IL; grandchildren: Dayne (Erica) Busch, Travis Busch, Andy (Brittney) Busch, Kate (Trent) Shumway, Ryan (Angela) Chapman, Adam Chapman, Anthony Smith, Benjamin Smith (Fiancé-Kim) several other grandchildren and great grand children, numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded by her husband on December 5, 1987, parents, three sisters: Luella Phillips, Marjorie Ferry, and Fern Mann; three brothers: Kenneth, Lyle and Royce Schulz, a daughter-in-law; Cindy Busch and a son-in-law; Jim Winter.

Funeral Service will be at 10:30 on Saturday, January 24, 2015 at the Leamon Funeral Home in Lena.

Visitation will be from 4:00 – 7:00 pm on Friday, January 23, 2015 at the Leamon Funeral Home.

Officiating will be her grandson Pastor Andy Busch

Burial will be held at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Freeport, IL
