Esther Lucille Nolan, 98, of Lena, IL went to be with her Lord on Saturday, April 28, 2018 at the Lena Living Center. She was born at home on April 12, 1920 to Lewis and Blanch (Crain) Wales in McConnell, IL. She married Orville Nolan on February 25, 1945 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Lena. Lucille was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, LWML St. John's Women's Society, Spirit-Led Bible Class, worked at the thrift store, attended the Friendship Center and Tuesday morning bible study at the Lena Retreat.

Lucille is survived by her children; Mary (Dennis) Brown, David (Fawn) Nolan, and Dennis (Josie York) Nolan, all of Lena, six grandchildren; Laura (Ben) Pearson of Geneseo, IL, Stacey (Mike) Plavchak of Lakeland, FL, Jason (Sharon) Nolan of Glenview, IL, Steven (Kali Drane) Brown of Freeport, IL, Melinda McNutt of Lena, IL, Carri (Craig) Mapes of Freeport, eight great-grandchildren; Gabrielle Brinkmeier, Natalie and Hayden McNutt, Madeline and Jameson Nolan, Chloe Mapes, Kayleigh Plavchak, David Pearson; many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Orville, sisters Alma McCaslin, Uva Meyers, and an infant sister Harriett, daughter-in-law Sally Nolan, and grandson-in-law Jeremy McNutt.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, May 4, 2018 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Lena, IL.

A visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 PM on Thursday, May 3, 2018 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Lena and from 10:00 AM until time of service on Friday.

Rev. Rick Bader will officiate the services.

Burial will be at Lena Burial Park in Lena.

A memorial has been established in her name.
