Elizabeth Ann Wear, 87, died on Monday, May 2, 2016 at her home in Warren, IL. She was born on May 4, 1928, on the Wear homestead in Warren Township, Jo Daviess County. She was the daughter of George T. and Marguerite (Schaffner) Wear. She attended rural Sweet Home School until it closed, then attended school at Warren Public School, and graduated from high school in 1946. She worked on the farm for many years, as well as being a clerk at the Ben Franklin Store in Warren and also as a kindergarten teacher assistant. She worked in assembly line production in various factories, and was a Golden Meal Site employee in Stockton, IL. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, baking, sewing, and traveling with her interstate truck driver son.

Elizabeth was preceded in death by her son George R. Wear, her parents, and many aunts and uncles.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, May 9, 2016 at the Bartell-Leamon Funeral Home in Warren, IL.

Friends may call an hour before the service begins.

Burial will be at Elmwood Cemetery in Warren, IL.

Rev. Roger Bronkema will officiate the services.

In Lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established for the Salvation Army.
