Elaine Carol Williams, 89, of Lena, passed away at her home on the farm on October 23, 2025.

Elaine was born on July 28th, 1936, in Savanna, IL, the daughter of Harold and Cora (Frederick) Schindler. She married Creighton Williams, December 10th, 1955, in Savanna, IL. She attended Our Lady of Angel Academy where she gave her life to Christ at the age of 4 and throughout her lifelong study of the Bible, the gospel of Mark was her favorite. During her 37-year career at the telephone company in Freeport, IL she held many positions, always working her way up to the next level. She loved camping, fishing, driving, (anything- including her motorcycle but especially her Mustang convertible), and even playing pool (where she entered a tournament in Las Vegas and got 9th out of 250 women). She and Wayne enjoyed spending their time eating out on a restaurant rotation, traveling to different states to visit friends and family, and of course going to church. Elaine leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and acceptance. She was interested in everything and everyone and even if she disagreed, it was with a smile on her face and warmth in her eyes.

She is survived by her beloved companion Wayne Werkheiser, daughters Tami Williams, Jonna Williams, Triscia Nickel, Tracey Williams, and son Michael (Nicole) Williams, 10 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren, 9 great-great grandchildren and sister Rita Ballard.

Elaine was preceded in death by Creighton Williams, Creighton Williams Jr., 3 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 11:00am to 1:00pm on Saturday, October 25th, 2025 at Leamons Funeral Home in Lena, Il. A 1:00 service will follow the visitation with Father Michael Morrissey officiating.

Interment will take place at the Lena Burial Park after the service.

Appetizers and fellowship to follow at Coach's from 3:00 to 5:00pm.
