Edward C. Krogull, age 58 of Lena, IL, passed away Saturday March 21, 2015 at the UW Madison Hospital. He was born February 8, 1957 in Freeport, IL, the son of John and Veneta (Casselman) Krogull. Ed married Karen Haas on October 7, 1979.
He worked at Honeywell as a tool and die maker and then went to Highland from 2010 - 2012 for Auto Mechanics. Ed was a 4H leader; he volunteered with the Boy Scouts and was Sunday school teacher at St. John's Lutheran Church. He loved antique engines, tractors, old cars, and restoring old trucks. Ed was an all around handyman who enjoyed tinkering with clocks. He was a loving and genuine person who would give up everything to help his loved ones.
Ed is survived by his son Nick (Kim) Krogull of Lena; daughter Lyndsey (Nathan) Spurlock of Freeport; parents John and Veneta Krogull of Freeport; three sisters- Mary Kay Krogull of Des Moines, IA, Sally (Russ) Roedl of Madison, WI, and Jacqui (Rollie) Jacobsen of Monticello, WI; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents and an aunt.
Funeral Service will be held at noon on Saturday March 28, 2015 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Lena.
Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. till noon on Saturday March 28, 2015 at St. John's Lutheran Church.
Officiating will be Rev. Rick Bader.
A luncheon at the church will follow the services.
Cremation rites have been accorded.
In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in his name.
