Earle M. Moote, 76, of Freeport, passed away, very unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at Mercy Health Hospital in Rockford. He was born on September 9, 1941 in Hamilton, Ontario to Milton and Margaret (Wardell) Moote. He married Janet Holl, and together they raised two sons. Earle was a dispatcher for Roadway Trucking from the early 70s until 1982. From 1982-1985, Earle owned and operated Moote Four Seasons. He began is car salesman career in 1986, starting out with Myers Ford, and ending his career as a salesman with Fairway Ford in 2003. After his retirement from car sales, Earle sold real estate for ten years. In 1992, Earle purchased the FA Read Center in Freeport where he handled the general operations. Earle enjoyed spending his free time at his tree farm around the Apple Canyon Lake.
Earle is survived by his sons; Scott Moote of Antioch, IL and Kevin (Lori) Moote of Apple River, IL, their mother; Janet Moote, grandchildren; Justin, Trevor, Joseph EO2, Grace, Chenice, and Veronica, his siblings; Gary Moote of Florida, Joyce Moote of Michigan, and Time Moote of Freeport.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his second wife Donna in 1992, and his third wife Debra in 2017.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday February 25, 2018 from 12:00 till 3:00 PM at the Apple River Stagecoach Event Center.
Cremation rites have been accorded.
A memorial has been established in his memory.
The family would like to thank Roger Murray for his many years of loyal friendship to Earle, and all of his help at the FA Read Center.
