Obituary

Emma "Arlene" Barker, 96, of Warren, passed away Sunday November 5, 2017 at the Lena Living Center in Lena, surrounded by her family. She was born on October 18, 1921 to Turner and Nan (Pehrson) McCauley in Darlington, WI. Arlene graduated from Darlington High School in 1939; and from the Platteville Teacher's College in 1942. She taught in Brooklyn, WI prior to marrying Bob Barker on June 7, 1947 at the Darlington United Methodist Church. Bob and Arlene owned and operated the Warren Greenhouse for 53 years. Arlene enjoyed her time volunteering at the Sunny Day Preschool with her granddaughter-in-law Crystal, knitting, crocheting, and quilting. She also enjoyed watching her grandchildren's sporting events, the Green Bay Packers, and the Wisconsin Badgers.

Arlene is survived by her son Michael (Jan) Barker of Warren, grandchildren; Stephanie (Jason) Artingstall, Heath Barker, Luke (Crystal) Barker, Jase (Amanda) Barker, Jack Barker, great grandchildren; Lily, Lynkin, Delanie, Dylan, Bentley, and Finley.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Bob in 2004, son Dave Barker, and a sister.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM on Sunday, November 19, 2017 at the Bartell-Leamon Funeral Home in Warren.

A visitation will be from 10:00 AM until time of services on Sunday at the funeral home.

Pastor Roger Bronkema will officiate the services.

Cremation rites have been accorded.

A private family burial will be held at a later date.

A memorial has been established in her memory.
