Dorothy M. Pedersen's Obituary
Dorothy M. Pedersen, 74, of Lena, passed on Monday, May 2, 2016 at her home after an extended illness. She was born on February 14, 1942 in Warren, IL to William H. and Vera (Koehn) Geilenfeldt. Dorothy married James Pedersen in December of 1970. He preceded her in death in 1988.
She had various jobs including working at Corn Belt Insurance, Motorola Phone Company and Swiss Colony in Monroe. She delighted in making handmade items for family and friends, going fishing, going on road trips. She also loved spending time with family and close friends.
Dorothy is survived by her brother, Glenn (Janeen) Geilenfeldt; nephew, Brent (Annette) Geilenfeldt; niece, Kristine (Chris) Robinson; three great nieces; one great nephew and two great-great nephews all of Lena, IL. She is also survived by her very best friend, Sandy and family of Ottowa, IL.
Cremation rites were accorded.
A graveside service will be held at 9:00 a.m. Saturday, May 7, 2016 at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Freeport, IL
Rev. Rick Bader will officiate.
