Doris A. Ils age 91 of Lena passed away on Sunday December 3, 2017 at the Lena Living Center. She was born on December 14, 1925 in Tiffany, WI to Bernhart and Clara (McWilliam) Breitkreutz. She married Theodore Ils on December 4, 1948 in Evansville, WI. Doris and Ted were lifelong farmers. She was a member of Salem United Church of Christ. She enjoyed quilting, gardening and baking her "famous" molasses cookies. She and Ted loved dancing and visiting with family and friends.

She is survived by her children; Mary (Rodney) Birchen of Pearl City, IL, Pamela (Jeff) Grothe of Camarillo, CA and Henry (LuAnn) Ils of Pearl City, IL. 17 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Sister-in-law; Louise Breitkreutz of West Point, MS.

Doris was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore; three sons; Howard, Kenneth and Edwin; daughter-in-law Teresa (Kenneth) Ils; three grandchildren; her parents and two brothers; William and Claire.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday December 8, 2017 at Salem United Church of Christ in Lena with a visitation from 1:00 pm till time of service.

Visitation will be held from 4:30 till 7:30pm on Thursday December 7, 2017 at the Leamon Funeral Home in Lena.

Officiating will be Pastor Randy Nicholas.

Burial will be in Salem Cemetery.

A memorial has been established in her name.
