Donna M. Phillips, 91, of Freeport formerly of Lena passed away on Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at Manor Court in Freeport, IL. She was born at home on January 2, 1930 to Harry and Ethel (Richard) Schoney in Lena, IL. She graduated from Lena High School in 1948. On September 22, 1951 Donna Married Marvin Phillips at the Lena Church of the Brethren.

Donna worked at Dr. Thompson office in Lena, Yeager Insurance Agency for 20+ years, Economy fire and Casualty Insurance in Freeport for 14 years. She was apart of the Lena Women's Club, Home Extension, Lena Church of the Brethren, and the Zion Church in Freeport.

She is survived by her son Jon (Cindy) Phillips of Freeport, IL; 2 grandchildren- Shawn (Jenna) Phillips of Lancaster, WI and Linsey Phillips of Freeport, IL; 2 great-grandchildren- Landon and Hattie; sisters-in-law LaVonne (Eddie) Elliott of Oregon, IL, Marty (Pete) Gioppo of Rockford, IL, and many special nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Marvin of 67 years on May 31, 2019, brother Earl (Doris) Schoney, sister Margery (Leonard) Stabenow twin brothers in infancy, and sisters-in-law Norma (Earl) Winter, Vivian Ashley, and nephew Richard Schoney.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. on Monday, April 12, 2021 at the Zion Church in Freeport, IL with the Funeral Service following at 2:00 p.m. and the Interment at Lena Burial Park.

Officiating will be Pastor Steve Rios.

A memorial has been established in her memory.
