Donald D. Julius, age 82 of Lena passed away peacefully on Saturday May 13, 2023, in Freeport, IL. He married Gloria Lewis on December 9, 1961, in Lena, IL. He was in the Carpentry and Construction for most of his adult life. The last 10 years of his working career was a custodian at Lena-Winslow High School. He served 15 years on the Stockton Fire Department as well as an EMT in Stockton. He loved building and flying RC airplanes and enjoyed golfing at Coach's Golf Course with his friends.

He is survived by his wife Gloria of Lena, IL, 2 children: Jolene (Jim) Jones of Stockton, IL, and David (Alysson) Julius of Stockton, IL. 5 grandchildren; Lindy, Ryan (Alivia), Austyn, Dayton and Delaney. 7 great grandchildren; Noah, Ava, Delilah, Cohen, Isabelle, Poet and Lorelai.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers Eugene and Richard Julius.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

A memorial has been established in his name.
