Donald Gene Corp, 71 of Lena, went to be with his Lord on Saturday, March 29, 2014 at his home.

He was born on April 12, 1942 in Joliet, IL. He was the son of Robert and Lois (Bentley) Corp. He attended Minooka and Beecher schools. Don married Carol Mahon, on September 3rd, 1966, at the Nora Community Church.Don's employment included, Bennett Industries, Lockport Steel Fabrication, Stover Tank, Hog, Beef and crop farming, and Economy Excavating. His last and most fulfilling work was with Fischer Excavating until his retirement.

Don was a dedicated husband, father and grandfather, whose constant concern and drive was for his family and friends to have a better life than his own.Don's strong will, innovation and determination brought many successes and accomplishments against the odds of his circumstances. Don was self taught in areas of welding, steel fabrication, diesel mechanics, electrical installations, and Bible Study.

Don is survived by his wife, Carol; children- Paul (Amy) Corp of Waxahachie, TX, Crystal (Troy) Watson of Wichita, KS, Trisha (Mark) Iverson of Aurora, IL, Valerie (Josh) Dickerson of St. Louis, MO; and his brother James Of Stockton, IL. He was the PROUD grandfather of 10 grandchildren- Donald and Dakota Corp, Rachel, Jordan, and Jacob Watson, Justin and Makenna Iverson, Aidan, Jack, and Eva Dickerson.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother Richard.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 3rd, 2014 at the Lena Evangelical Free Church in Lena, IL.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 3rd from 9:00 AM to time of service at the church.

Rev. Jim Erb will officiate at the service.

Burial will take place at Lena Burial Park.

A memorial has been established in his name for the FHN Hospice and Lena Evangelical Free Church.
