Diane K. Richardson age 71, of Lena passed away with her family by her side on Tuesday June 26, 2018 at her home. She was born on May 7, 1947 in Waterloo, IA to Ralph and Marlys Kingsbury. She married Gary Richardson on May 25, 1969 in Waterloo, IA and together they raised three sons. She was a teacher and teacher's aide for several years in the Lena-Winslow School District. After retiring from education she worked at Roughing It in Style, Engel's Jewelery and Gemorifics in Freeport. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church. She enjoyed traveling to see her sons in Kansas, Indiana and family in Iowa. She was a member of Preceptor Zeta Upsilon Sorority, St. John's Women's Society and enjoyed playing euchre. She volunteered at St. John's Thrift Shop and enjoyed making noodles for the bazaar.

She is survived by three sons; Chad (Stephanie) Richardson of Lawrence, KS, Todd (Katie) Richardson of Evansville, IN and Brett (Erin) Richardson of Lena, IL. Grandchildren; David, KayLee, Alyssa, Jeffrey, Aaron, Evan, Layne, Brauer and Kellar. Sisters; Connie (Paul) Hay, Carol (Lou) Eastwood. Numerous Nieces and Nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Gary on September 8, 1986 and brother Dennis.

Private family services will be held.

A memorial has been established in her name.
