Dennis S. Broege, 63, of Freeport, formerly of Lena, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 15, 2018, at his home with his loved ones by his side. He was born on October 26, 1955 to William and Patricia (Foy) Broege in Freeport. Dennis met Debra Boeck, and together they shared 37 years together. Dennis was a truck driver for Werhane Enterprises for many years. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, and taking trips with Deb. He was a member of the Freeport Eagles Club, where he was an avid euchre player.

Dennis is survived by his love, Debra Boeck of Freeport, daughter Michelle, brother Gary (Cheryl) Broege of Loves Park, sister-in-law Jolene (Lee) Broege of Freeport, nieces and nephews; Chad (Lisa) Broege, Chris (Stephanie) Broege, Callie (Dustin) Oberbrockling, cousins; Jim (Sherry) McAullife, Sue (Jerry) Culp, and Nancy (Paul) Monfre.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Duain Broege, and his beloved dog Rusty.

Per Dennis's request, there will be no services.

Cremation rites have been accorded.

The family wishes to thank the staff at FHN, and FHN Hospice for the care Dennis received.

A memorial has been established in his name.
