Apple River, IL- Dawson J. Rollinger, 31, of Apple River, IL passed away on Saturday, May 17, 2014. He was born on September 13, 1982, in Freeport, IL to David and Cheryl (Harwick) Rollinger. Dawson graduated from Warren High School in 2001. He was employed by Runde Pre-Driven in Hazel Green, WI for ten years, he was an ASE certified mechanic, and recently promoted to Service Manager. When Dawson was younger, he was a perfectionist on model cars. He enjoyed drag racing, Ford Mustangs, working on cars, car shows and car cruises. He was a member of the High Point Cruisers. He was a very caring and compassionate person; he would do anything for anybody. Dawson was also a member of the Apple River Fire Department and a first responder. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Dawson is survived by his parents, David and Cheryl Rollinger of Apple River, IL, three children Ashton, and Cora Rollinger, and Gage Teasdale; siblings Rebecca (Venancio) Ugalde of Freeport, IL, Rachel (Damein) Nipple of Monroe, WI, and David (fiancé Lauren Bidwell) Rollinger of Madison, WI; nine nephews and four nieces, with one of them, Shelly, being very special to him; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents Eldred and Shirley Rollinger and Delbert and Evelyn Harwick and Burnette "Slick" Williams, two brothers Reggie and David T, and two nieces Alexandria and Angel.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, May 22, 2014 at the Apple River Event Center, in Apple River, IL.

Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00PM on Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at the Bartell-Leamon Funeral Home in Warren, IL.

A memorial has been in his memory.

Dawson was very loved and will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
