David N. Chambers, 78, of Lena, Illinois passed away on Sunday, December 6, 2020 at the Monroe Clinic Hospital in Monroe, Wisconsin.  David was born on March 16, 1942 to Don and Doris (Strohacker) Chambers in Freeport, Illinois.  He attended Pearl City High School, graduating in 1960.  He married his high school sweetheart, Margaret "Margie" Katzenberger on May 24, 1961.  They were blessed with five children, Peg, Greg (Kim), Regan, Karmen, and Mark (deceased).

Dave worked for Civil Constructors for 47 years, enjoyed restoring and riding Allis Chalmers tractors.  He loved his little farm and helping others.  Dave loved his grandchildren so much, Papa never missed their sports or their life's adventures.

He is survived by his wife, and best friend for 60 years; Margaret, his children, 11 grandchildren- three of whom he was like a Daddy to Chantel Sellers, Tevin (Kayla) Sellers, and Isaiah Bruce, several great-grandchildren, with one to be born in March, and many wonderful friends.

Dave loved the Lord, and was a member of Park Hill Evangelical Free Church in Freeport. His Park Hills family was so important to him.

Per David's request, cremation rites will be accorded and a private family service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in his name.
