Darrell Lapp, 82, of Lena passed away on Friday, April 20, 2018 at the Lena Living Center. He was born on October 31, 1935 in Freeport to Wilbur and Ruth (Otte) Lapp. He graduated from Lena High School. Darrell served his country in the United States Army. He was a lifelong farmer in the rural Lena area. Darrell enjoyed bowling and gardening, and he was an avid Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears fan. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Lena.

Darrell is survived by his brother-in-law Fred Sr. Tessendorf of Lena; nieces and nephews Dennis (Paula) Tessendorf of Lena, Deb (Doug) Bergman of Flagstaff, Arizona, Sue (Harvey) Blair of Warren, Allen (Mary) Tessendorf of Lena, Tom (Janine) Tessendorf of Kent, Chris (Tim) Wulfekuhle of Winslow, Dave (Kimberly) Tessendorf of Monticello, WI, Fred Jr. (Jessica) Tessendorf of Lena; and many grand, great grand, and great-great grand nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, twin sister Carol Tessendorf, and special cousin Ethel Baysinger.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM on Saturday, April 28, 2018 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Lena.

A visitation will be held from 12:00 (Noon)- until time of services on Saturday at the church.

Rev. Rick Bader will officiate the services.

Burial will be at Lena Burial Park.

A memorial has been established in his name.
