Warren, IL- Darlene A. Jacobs, 71, of Warren, IL passed away on Sunday, April 5, 2015 at her home surrounded by her family.

Darlene was born on January 24, 1944 to Jesse and Mildred (Freeman) Raney in Mt. Morris, IL. Darlene married Irvin Jacobs on Thanksgiving Day, November 28, 1963 at the Evangelical Free Church in Mt. Morris, IL. Darlene loved putting puzzles together and playing games with her children and grandchildren, she also enjoyed gardening, canning, and mowing grass. She helped out on the ranch by taking lunch, fuel, and seed corn over to her husband, Irvin. Later, she worked at Dura for over twenty years.

Darlene is survived by her five daughters- Vicki (Jon) Lutz of Stockton, IL, Dixie (Dan) Degner of Mt. Horeb, WI, Tonja (Wes) White of Dixon, IL, Tammy (Gene) Degner of Torrance, CA, Rebecca (Ken Williams) Jacobs, of Polo, IL; and one son Keith (Suzie) Jacobs of Plain, WI; seven grandchildren; one great-grandson; and one step granddaughter; sister Dorothy Wood; brothers Don, Darrell, and Doug Raney; sisters-in-law Mary Robinson, Viola Bowers, Pat Jacobs, Judy Decorah, Linda Meyers, Carol Dagner and Cathy Baltazor; brother-in-law Jesse Jacobs.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Irvin in 2013, an infant daughter Terri Lynn, and her maternal and paternal grandparents.

Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, April 9, 2015 at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Freeport, IL.

Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 PM on Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at the Bartell-Leamon funeral home in Warren, IL.

Burial will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Freeport, IL.

Pastor Randy Nicholas will officiate the service.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established for the FHN Hospice, and the American Cancer Society.
