Daniel Thomas Robertson Sr.,56, passed away on June 7, 2016 surrounded by his wife and children. Born on July 19, 1959 to Ralph and Evelyn (Lalley)Robertson in Freeport, IL. Dan graduated from Freeport High School in 1977. He worked in numerous body shops in the Freeport area until he owned his own business, Car Craft Autobody, for 8 years. He worked in the insurance business for 20 years in both Freeport and Madison; until he landed his dream job of flatbed trucking. He traveled from California to Maryland on the open road. Dan married the love of his life, Marley Guertin, on the Fourth of July in 2008. Together they took numerous Harley adventures from Cape Cod, Key West, Niagara Falls, Caribou(Maine), and New Orleans.

Besides riding his Harley, Dan also loved dirt races (especially The World 100 at El Dora, Ohio), Golf (though he wasn't very good), playing euchre with his friends, Elvis, and working on muscle cars in his garage. He was a great dad, loving husband, and loyal friend. He leaves seven children.
Daniel is survived by his wife Marley Robertson;
Children: Tracey (Shawn) Okon, Tiffany Cheng, Kim (Tyler) Jeffries, Lauren Cheng, Daniel Robertson Jr, Ashley Robertson, and Erica Cheng;
Brother Rob (Donna) Robertson;
Grandchildren : Trista Robertson, Terrance Jones, Kaden Okon, and Parker Jeffries.

Preceding him in death are his parents Ralph and Evelyn(Lalley)Robertson.

There will be a visitation held at Leamon Funeral Home in Lena, IL on Friday, June 10, 2016 from 4-7:00 PM.

There will be a private celebration of Dan's life at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, Dan requests donations be made to the Wounded Warriors Project.
