Craig D. Brinkmeier age 34, passed away surrounded by his family on Thursday February 22, 2018. He was born to Dan and LeeAnn (Hughes) Brinkmeier on February 23, 1983 in Monroe, WI. He graduated from Lena-Winslow High School in 2001. He went to the Morrison Institute of technology and earned a degree in Engineering and graduated from SIU with a degree in Architecture. He worked at the Stephenson County Highway Department as an engineer and at Lingle Design Group as an architect. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, the Le-Win Jaycees and the Lena Lions Club. Craig enjoyed photography, drawing, driving around, downhill skiing and golfing. He especially enjoyed spending time with his cousins "little and big".

He is survived by his parents Dan and LeeAnn Brinkmeier of Lena, brother Matt Brinkmeier of Lena, maternal grandfather Harry Hughes, paternal grandfather Virgil Brinkmeier. Aunts and Uncles; Genise (Duane) Tessendorf, Dan (Paris) Hughes, Lori (Dan) Rankila, Linda Korte and Betty Pries. Cousins; Nicholas, Michael, Cyan, Marshall (Stephanie), Harrison, Morgan (Steve), Saige, Steven, Mason (Taylor) Carmen, Landon, Mitchell (Jordyn), Brandon (Kayla), Jacob, Eric (Erin), Jaxson, Ella, Tiffanie and Austin.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother Nancy Hughes, paternal grandmother Cheryl Brinkmeier, Uncle Dick Korte and Cousin Jennifer Trappen.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday March 10, 2018 at St. John's Lutheran Church.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 till 8:00 PM on Friday March 9, 2018 at St. John's Lutheran Church.

Officiating will be Rev. Rick Bader.

A private family burial will be held at a later date.

A memorial has been established in his name.
