Colleen Eder, 64, of Warren, IL passed away at her home surrounded by her family on Friday, April 21, 2023. Colleen was born on February 7, 1959 in Freeport, IL to Bun and Mary (Roth) Cosgrove. She married Mike Eder on November 25, 1978 at St. Ann Catholic Church in Warren, IL.

For 30 years, Colleen worked for the United State Postal Service in Nora, Stockton, and Warren, where she held various positions, but most recently was the Post Master. Colleen had a heart of gold. Her love languages were feeding people and giving gifts. She enjoyed playing cards, and was an avid Green Bay Packers fan. Colleen's favorite thing to do was spoil her grandchildren.

Colleen is survived by her husband Mike of Warren, their children; April (Jacob) Dejongh of Nashville, TN, and Adam (Lyndsay) Eder of Mt. Horeb, WI, grandchildren; Brooklyn, Benjamin, and Desmond, sisters; Cindy Walker of Madison, WI, Sandy Bemus of Warren, IL and Yvonne (Kevin) Hay of Warren, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Paul (Beaver) L. Cosgrove.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday April 27, 2023 at the Bartell-Leamon Funeral Home in Warren.

Pastor Kevin Cernek will officiate the services.

Burial will be at Elmwood Cemetery in Warren.

Immediately following the services, a celebration of Colleen's life will be held at the American Legion in Warren.

A memorial has been established in her memory.
