Apple River- Charlus I. Cox age 77, passed away on Tuesday June 19, 2018 at the University Hospital in Madison, WI. She was born on July 31, 1940 in Freeport, IL to Elfie and Elma (Dittmar) Koehn. She graduated from the Scales Mound School in 1958. She was married on July 23, 1961. She and her husband were dairy farmers for many years and she was also a cook for the Warren School District. She was an active member with the Apple River Methodist Church. She enjoyed bowling with her team, playing in card club with friends and loved to garden and cook. She especially enjoyed get-togethers and taking drives through the countryside to mingle with family and friends. Charlus was an avid Cub's Fan in her later years.

She is survived by her children; Russell Cox of Apple River, Beverly (Chuck) Alexander of Lakeville, MN, Tom (Terri) Cox of Lena, Terry (Diane) Cox of Shullsburg, WI and Todd Cox of Apple River. 10 grandchildren; Brianna and Brittany Alexander, Garrett, Brice, Kendall, Brady, Cassidy, Tyler, Taylor and Rylan Cox. Brother; Carlan (Eva) Koehn of Scales Mound, IL.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday June 23, 2018 at the Apple River United Methodist Church with a visitation from 9:00 until time of service.

Officiating will be Pastor Libby Rutherford.

Burial will be in West Ella Cemetery.

A memorial has been established in her name.
