Brandon J. Hartzell, 39 of Warren, IL passed away peacefully at home with his wife and daughters by his side, on Monday February 12, 2024. He was born on February 6th, 1985, in Monroe, WI to the late Harry Hartzell and Cathy Burmeister. Brandon attended Warren Jr. Sr. High School, and went on to work at Monroe Truck Equipment, Stagecoach Trails Limestone, and most recently the Jo Daviess County Highway Department. On September 1st, 2007, Brandon married the love of his life, Ashley Dagle in Apple River, IL.

Brandon enjoyed hunting, especially with his daughter Kaylee, camping, side by side riding, snowmobiling, and making sure his yard was perfectly mowed. He also enjoyed watching his girls participate in sporting events. Brandon will always be remembered for his loyalty and witty sense of humor. He mostly enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Brandon is survived by his wife Ashley and his daughters Kaylee and Kennedy Hartzell, Mother Cathy (Dick) Burmeister, Sister Kari (Nick) Coffey, and Brother Jason Hartzell, Mother-in-law Melody (Chaz) Hammer, Father-In-Law Eric (Kathy) Dagle, Brother-In- Law Chris Watson, several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins, and many special friends, especially Brian (Renee) VanRaalte and their family.

Brandon was preceded in death by his father Harry Hartzell in 2011, and his paternal grandparents Nathan and Jean Hartzell, maternal grandparents Kenneth and Annabel Wilberding, and Uncle Keith Farrey.

A celebration of life will be held from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm on March 2nd , 2024, at the Apple River Event Center.

Per Brandon's request, cremation rites were accorded.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established for his daughters, Kaylee and Kennedy Hartzell.
