Betty L. Miller, age 94, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 17th 2021. Betty was born August 27th 1926 in Freeport, IL to William and Louella (Meyers) Ruthe.  On October 1st 1943 she married Melvin Schmitt.  They raised 3 daughters, Sandra, Linda, and Lois Gene.  After Melvin's death Betty remarried Eugene Runte.  After Eugene's death Betty remarried Owen Miller.

Betty's love for the Lord and faith influenced everyone around her, along with her quick wit and sense of humor. She had the ability to bring joy and laughter to all.

Betty is survived by her daughter Linda Lindstrom and granddaughters Valerie (Raynold) Saalsaa, Natalie (John) Mancosky, Kori (Jason) Huneke, and Kimberly (Jon) Whitlow, and daughter Lois Jean (James) Johnson and granddaughters Stephanie Johnson, Samantha Johsnson, and Stacey (John) Johnson.  She also has 17 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her daughter Sandra and son-in-law David Lindstrom.

A celebration of life will be from 1:00 p.m.- 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 3, 2021 at the Zion Church of Freeport, IL.

A memorial has been established in her name for the Salvation Army and the Zion Church of Freeport.
