Arnold G. Reuber, 87, passed away Tuesday, March 14, 2017 with his family at his side at Rockford Memorial Hospital. He was born May 13, 1929 in Lena, IL Son of Floyd and Ruth (Bratley) Reuber. He married Esther Holmes on November 1, 1954 in Lena she preceded him in death in 1996. Arnold then married Edith Schmelzer on June 26, 1998. Arnold served his country in the United States Army. He worked at JI Case, and Micro Switch from 1969 until retirement. Arnold was a member of the Eagles Club & Moose Lodge in Freeport, and he enjoyed cutting and splitting wood.

Arnold is survived by his wife; Edith, four Children; Calvin (Lucinda) of Aiken, SC, Stewart (Rebecca) of Port Byron, IL, Ellen Tell of Freeport, IL, Lisa (Mike) Correa of San Diego, CA. Four step children; Debbie Collalti, Sandy Parks, Lisa (Scott) Farrar, Gary Hill. Seven grandchildren, five great grand children, eleven step grand children and twelve step great grand children

He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Esther, and three sisters

Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, March 17, 2017 at the Leamon Funeral Home, Lena, IL.

Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until time of services at the funeral home.

Rev. Brian LeBaron will officiate the services.

A memorial has been established in his memory.
