Arlene Hibbard, 88, of Lena, IL, woke up with Jesus on December 5 ^th , 2017 at Liberty Village in Freeport. She was born May 26, 1929 to Eugene and Marcella Nilles in Dubuque, Iowa. She graduated from the Visitation Academy of Dubuque in 1947. After graduating, she worked at C.G. Sanner Dentist in Dubuque. She then moved to Freeport, IL in 1955 where she met the love of her life, Joseph H. Hibbard in 1958. They were married September 12, 1959. To this union were three daughters, Julie A. (Jeffery) Kesterson of Sedalia, MO, Katherine C. (Chester) Marcum of Merrill, WI, and Paula M. (Michael) Cross of Pecatonica, IL, seven grandchildren, Kimberlyn (James), Christopher, Jessica (Kyle), Kody, Jacqueline (JD), Stacey, Kadie, and four great-grandchildren, Elise, James, Vincent, Evalette. Also surviving are brothers David (Carol) Nilles, Roland (Julia) Nilles, Mark (Rosie) Nilles, sisters-in-law Shirley Nilles, Louise Nilles, and brother-in-law Joe Feyen and a host of nieces and nephews and special family friend, Elaine McCabe.

Preceeding her in death were her husband on September 28 ^th , 1992, her parents, brothers Dale and Roger, sister Lois, and nephew Kevin.

Services will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Lena on Saturday, December 9 ^th at 9 AM with a funeral mass at 11 AM.

Inurnment will be at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Lena.

Rev. Father Andrew Skorbutt will officiate the services

A memorial has been established in her memory.
