Arlen Irina A. Guillen, age 30, of Freeport, IL passed away Monday, December 20, 2021, at FHN Memorial Hospital in Freeport, IL.  She was born on September 15, 1991, in Turlock, Ca to Maria Alvarez Guillen. Arlen had a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from the University of the Pacific, in Stockton, Ca. She worked for Sentry Insurance as a Licensed Insurance Agent in Freeport, IL for many years.

Arlen was a smart and quick-witted individual. Nobody could ever match her sarcasm and rebuttals. She always loved using movie quotes as well.  Arlen was always up for an adventure with her big sister, Mayra. She was generous and kind and will be greatly missed.

Arlen is survived by her mother Maria Alvarez-Guillen; 2 sisters- Mayra A. Guillen and Crystal G. (Dalton D.) Barber; 2 nieces- Marina L. Cruz and Aneliese P. Barber; and 1 nephew- Daniel U. Barber.

Arlen is preceded in death by her nephew Gaberiel R. Barber.

Funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 30, 2021, at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Freeport, IL.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.

Officiating the service will be Father Barr.

Burial will take place Oakland Cemetery in Freeport, IL.

A memorial has been established in her memory.
