Anita M. Dauen, 63, of Warren, IL passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Wednesday, October 29th, 2025. She was born on October 22nd,1962 in Hazel Green, WI to Edner and June (Vance) Severson. She married Kenny Dauen on August 15th, 2004, in Albany, IL.

Anita worked as a caregiver to both young and old, helping to provide quality of life and end-of-life care allowing them to spend their last days surrounded by family.

Anita was the first woman firefighter in Green County. She enjoyed spending her time hunting, fishing, gardening, and gambling. She had a love for animals of all kinds. But most important to Anita was spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Anita is survived by her children- Amanda (Jeremy) Johnson of Evansville, WI, Stephanie (Jimmy) McKinstrey of Warren, IL, Krisy (Alex) Garza of Albany, IL, Kyle Dauen of Albany, IL; grandchildren- Aaron, Emily, and Lawson Johnson, Cameron, Kali, and Bailey Kinnison, Morgan and Mason Elmer, Jaxon Huson, and Harper Parr; Siblings- Bonnie Wolff of St. Charles, MN, Mark (Peggy) Severson of Apple Canyon, IL, Chris (Rick) Vick of Orangeville, IL; numerous nieces and nephews; and good friend and caregiver Connie Maupin. Her companion dog Steve.

She is preceded in death by her husband Kenny, parents, brother Jason, and brother-in-law Rick Wolff.

A visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 pm on Tuesday November 4th, 2025, at the Bartell-Leamon Funeral Home in Warren, IL.

A funeral service will take place at 11:00 am on Wednesday November 5th, 2025, at Evangelical Free Church in Lena, IL.

A luncheon to follow at the Evangelical Free Church. Officiating will be Rev. Roger Bronkema.

Cremation rites to follow the funeral service.

A memorial has been established in her name.
