Allen B. Hawkinson, 84, of Lena, IL passed away at his home on Thursday, July 29, 2021 surrounded by his family.  Allen was born on March 13, 1937 in Riverside (Gratiot, WI) to Russel and Alice (Zuberbuhler) Hawkinson.  He served his country in the United States Air Force from 1955-1959.  He was stationed in Iceland on the DEW Line for one year as a radar operator.  Allen married Cathryn "Peggy" Yeager on April 30, 1960 in Apple River, IL.  Allen retired from Kelly-Springfield on March 1, 1997 after over 33 years.  He enjoyed his grandchildren, great-grandchild, fishing, telling stories; some were true, others…who knows!

Allen is survived by his children; Scott (Chris) Hawkinson of Prairie Du Sac, WI, Marsha (Mark) Bosch of Plainfield, IL, Steve (Connie) Hawkinson of Monroe, WI, Lori Upmann of Lena, IL, and Rhonda Hawkinson of Madison, WI, his step-daughter; Rita Sauer  of Prior Lake, MN, grandchildren; Lauren, Kylee, Courtney (Jason), Sydney, Jacob, and Maggie, a great-granddaughter Elyse, his brothers; Eugene (Nancy) Hawkinson, Don (Diane) Hawkinson, and Van (Mary) Hawkinson, sister; Sandra Mau, sisters-in-law; Pam Yeager, and Pat Hawkinson, brother-in-law; George Yeager, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Peggy, son-in-law Kevin Upmann, brother Gary Hawkinson, brothers-in-law Ralph Mau and Bill Yeager, and a sister-in-law Carol Thiltgen.

Funeral mass will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, August 4, 2021 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Lena, IL.

A visitation will be from 4:00 PM- 8:00 PM on Tuesday, August 3, 2021 at Leamon Funeral Home in Lena, IL.

Father Andrew Skrobutt will officiate the services.

Burial will be at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Lena, IL.

A memorial has been established in his name.
