Mary E. Leamon
Mary graduated from Carthage High School in 1945 and from Carthage College in 1949. She has been in the business since her marriage to Jack in 1949. Mary takes care of the bookwork and is a charter member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. In her free time she enjoys playing Bridge, traveling, and needle work.
Thomas P. Leamon, Licensed Funeral Director
Tom graduated from Lena-Winslow High School in 1969. He attended Carthage College in Kenosha, WI and then continued his education at Highland Community College in Freeport, IL. He went on to Worsham College of Mortuary Science in Chicago, IL. He has been with the family business ever since. Tom is currently serving as the Stephenson County Coroner and had been a paramedic on Leamon’s Ambulance for the past 30 years. He is a member of Ducks Unlimited, Pheasants forever, Lena Rifle Club and has interests in fishing and hunting.
Aaron England, Licensed Funeral Director
Aaron graduated from Lena-Winslow High School in 1997. He attended Highland Community College in Freeport, IL and transferred to Worsham College of Mortuary Science in Chicago, IL. He graduated in 2002. He has been with the family business ever since. Aaron attends the Cedarville Baptist Church and enjoys golfing and watching movies.
Janet England
Janet graduated from Lena-Winslow High School in 1971. Janet is secretary and is also certified as a pre-planning consultant. She has been with the family business since 1989. Janet and her husband, Doug live in Lena. They have two children, Aaron and Abby. She is a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Lena. Janet enjoys spending time with her family.
Robert Brinker, Licensed Funeral Director
Robert graduated from Lena-Winslow High School in 1970. He attended Highland Community College and transferred to Worsham College of Mortuary Science in Chicago, IL. He has been employed at Leamon’s since 1969. Bob and his wife, Vicki reside in Lena. They are members of St. John’s Luthern Church in Lena and enjoy traveling.
Jeff Smith, Licensed Funeral Director
Jeff graduated from Lena-Winslow High School in 1973. He attended Highland Community College and transferred to Worsham College of Mortuary Science in Chicago, IL. He has been employed at Leamon’s since 1983. Jeff and his wife, Cindy, make their home in Lena and have three children. He is a member of the Evangelical Free Church of Lena, Freeport Choral Society, The Gideons International, Promise Keepers, and The League of American Bicyclists. Jeff is interested in bicycling, spending time with family, and singing on worship teams at church.
Jack P. Leamon, President, Licensed Funeral Director
Jack graduated from Lena High School in 1943. After high school, Jack attended carthage college for 2 1/2 years and then Cincinnati College of Embalming in Cincinnati, OH and joined the family business in 1949. He has been active in the Lena commnity: served on the board of directors of the Citizens State Bank of Lena for 33 years, was one of the origional board members of the Lena Nursing Home for 33 years until it was sold to Freeport Memorial Hospital. He was a chairman of Stephenson County Sheriffs Merit Comission, he served as a Deputy Coroner for 16 years and as the Stephenson County Coroner for 4 years. He is a member of the American Legion, Lena Lions Club, and the 4th Degree of Trinity Council. Jack is currently semi retired. Jack served in the Navy during WWII in the European Theatre. He enjoys traveling, reading, computers, and electronic technology.
